SpeedyPlay does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data.

What is stored

The extension stores two settings — your selected playback speed and whether it should be applied automatically. They are kept in chrome.storage.local, which lives on your own computer. They are never uploaded anywhere, and they are removed when you uninstall the extension.

What is not collected

SpeedyPlay does not collect browsing history, watched videos, search queries, account information, IP addresses, or analytics of any kind. It contains no trackers and makes no network requests.

Permissions

• storage — saves your speed settings on your device.
• Access to www.youtube.com — lets the extension add the speed button to the player and change playback speed. It runs on no other site, including YouTube Music and the mobile site.
